Anton Belov (born Anton Sergeyevich Belov on July 29, 1986) is a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
He previously played in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for Avangard Omsk.
Playing Career[]
Anton made his professional debut with CSKA Moscow of the Russia Elite League in the 2004–05 season. He would play four seasons for Moscow.
From 2008 to 2013, Anton played for Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He played five seasons for Omsk.
In 2013, Anton decided he wanted to play in the NHL. On May 30, 2013, the Edmonton Oilers announced that they had signed him to a one-year entry-level contract. He made the team regular season roster.
On January 10, 2013, Anton scored his first NHL goal against Jeff Zatkoff of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
