Joonas Donskoi (born April 13, 1992) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward who currently plays under contract with the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Playing Career[]
Joonas was originally selected by the Florida Panthers in the 4th round (99th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft while playing with Oulun Kärpät of the Finnish Liiga.
After setting career high of 19 goals and 49 points in the 2014–15 season with Kärpät, and with his NHL rights relinquished by the Panthers, Joonas was signed to a two-year entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks on May 20, 2015.
In Joonas's first training camp and pre-season with the Sharks, he impressed and made the club's opening night roster for the 2015–16 season.
On October 7, 2015, he scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game against Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings.
