Josh Gratton is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who currently plays for Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
His cousin is former NHL forward Chris Gratton.
Playing Career[]
Undrafted, Josh was first signed to a NHL contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on July 27, 2004.
On March 9, 2006, he was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes along with the Florida Panthers' second-round choice (which was previously acquired & later traded to Detroit who selected Cory Emerton) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft & Tampa Bay's second round choice (which was previously acquired & later traded to Detroit who selected Shawn Matthias) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Denis Gauthier.
On April 11, 2006, Shawn scored his first NHL goal with the Coyotes in a game against the Colorado Avalanche.
