Matthew Nieto (born on November 5, 1992) is an American ice hockey player who is currently playing for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL) as a rookie in the left wing position.
Playing Career
On October 3, 2013, Matt made his NHL debut against the Vancouver Canucks. On October 8, 2013, he scored his first NHL career goal against Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers off assists by Joe Pavelski and Tommy Wingels.
Despite being reassigned to the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL on December 18, 2013, Matt was recalled by the Sharks on December 21 after an injury to Tomas Hertl.
