Michael Paliotta (born April 16, 1993) is an American professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently under contract with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

He was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 3rd round (70th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing Career[]

On March 26, 2015, the Chicago Blackhawks signed Michael to a two-year contract.

On April 11, 2015, he made his NHL debut skating against the Colorado Avalanche in the Blackhawks' final game of the 2014–15 NHL season.

On June 30, 2015, Michael (along with Brandon Saad and Alex Broadhurst) was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Artem Anisimov, Marko Dano, Jeremy Morin and Corey Tropp along with a 4th-round selection in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2016, he won the Calder Cup as a member of the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL).

On July 1, 2016, Michael agreed to terms with the New York Rangers.
