Nate Prosser (born Nathanael Christian Prosser on May 7, 1986) is an American ice hockey defenseman who is currently playing for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Playing Career[]
Nate was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Wild after his senior season at Colorado College of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
On April 5, 2010 (near the end of the 2009-10 NHL season), he made his NHL debut for the Wild in a game against the Edmonton Oilers.
During the 2011–12 season, Nate was signed to a two-year contract extension on February 6, 2012.
On February 7, 2012, he scored his first NHL goal against Curtis Sanford of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Later in the season, Nate headbutted Jamal Mayers during a scrum in front of the Chicago Blackhawks' net. For his action, he was suspended for one game.
