The Orlando Solar Bears were a team in the International Hockey League (1945-2001). They won the championship in the league's final season. They failed to join other leagues and they folded.

After being apart of the IHL the Orlando Solar Bears joined the ECHL and have been playing in the ECHL ever since and have been affiliated with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL and affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL
