Samuel Bennett-McDowell (born June 20, 1996) is a Canadian ice hockey player. He is currently playing in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kingston Frontenacs. Bennett is rated as a top prospect[1] who is viewed as a possible first round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.[2]
Bennett joined the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League for the 2012–13 OHL season and was recognized for his outstanding play when he was chosen to compete at the 2013 IIHF World U18 Championships, winning a gold medal with Team Canada.[3] He was also selected to play at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, winning another gold medal with the Canadian squad.[4]
