Steve Guolla (born Stephen K. Guolla on March 15, 1973) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers and the New Jersey Devils.
In his NHL career, Steve played 205 regular season games, scoring 40 goals and 46 assists for 86 points, collecting 60 penalty minutes.
Steve was drafted 3rd overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 1994 NHL Supplemental Draft.
On August 22, 1996, he was signed as a free agent by the San Jose Sharks.
On August 4, 1999, Steve was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning along with Bill Houlder, Shawn Burr and Andrei Zyuzin in exchange for Niklas Sundstrom and the New York Rangers' third-round choice (that was previously acquired and later traded to Chicago who selected Igor Radulov) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
On March 1, 2000, he was claimed on waivers by the Atlanta Thrashers. On October 21, 2001, Steve was signed as a free agent by the New Jersey Devils.
On April 22, 2004, he was signed as a free agent by Kloten in Switzerland. Steve also played in Germany for the Hannover Scorpions and HIFK in Finland.
Steve's last playing year was in 2010-2011 with Tappara in the Finnish SM-liiga.
