That's Hockey

That's Hockey (currently known as "Tim Hortons That's Hockey" for sponsorship reasons) is a Canadian television series on TSN which presents the latest news in hockey as well as panelists and interviews with hockey personalities.

The show first premiered in 1995 and its current host is Gino Reda.

It got its name from a broadcaster exclaiming "That's Hockey!" during exciting plays.


The show debuted in October 1995 with Dave Hodge as host.

"That's Hockey" replaced TSN Inside Sports" which Hodge also hosted. Gord Miller hosted the show from 1998 to 2002.

On October 8, 2014, TSN announced that Tim Hortons would become title sponsor of the program. The previous sponsor was Molson.

Show FormatEdit

"That's Hockey" airs at 7:00pm ET on nights when TSN isn't airing live sports coverage in that time slot.

If TSN is airing a hockey game at 7:00, they usually air the spin-off show That's Hockey 2Nite following the game at 9:30pm ET on the main network.

An NHL on TSN analyst will join Reda for the program on most nights. These analysts include Darren Dreger, Bob McKenzie, Ray Ferraro and Keith Jones, among others.

That's Hockey: The Playoff EditionEdit

During the playoffs, "That's Hockey: Playoff Edition" airs instead.

The times of this show will vary because of TSN's Stanley Cup Playoff coverage. Otherwise the show is the same as the regular season version.

During the Stanley Cup Final TSN, airs "That's Hockey: Stanley Cup Final Edition." On game nights, it will air for a full hour.

Gino Reda is joined by three or four NHL on TSN analyst which includes Darren Dreger, Bob McKenzie and Pierre McGuire.
