Viktor Svedberg (born on May 24, 1991) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Playing Career[]
Viktor played with Frölunda HC of the Elitserien from 2010-11 to 2012–13, scoring his first Elitserien goal, a game-winning goal on September 15th at the Fjällräven Center against Modo Hockey's Mikael Tellqvist.
On October 19, 2013 (after playing four AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs), Viktor was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League to a two-year entry level contract.
On August 5, 2015, the Blackhawks agreed to terms with Viktor on a one-year deal. On October 9, 2015, he made his NHL debut in a game against the New York Islanders.
On October 15, 2015, he scored his first NHL goal against Braden Holtby in a game against the Washington Capitals.
On March 14, 2016, the Blackhawks signed Viktor to a two-year contract extension to remain with the organization.
