Vladimir Sobotka (born on July 2, 1987) is a Czech professional ice hockey center currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Playing Career[]
Vladimir was drafted 106th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins from HC Slavia Praha of the Czech Extraliga. On November 24, 2007, he He played in his first game against the New York Islanders.
Vladimir's first NHL goal was scored later that season, on February 13th against Ty Conklin of the Pittsburgh Penguins. On June 26, 2010, the Boston Bruins traded him to the St. Louis Blues for the rights to Boston University defenseman David Warsofsky.
On November 6, 2010, Vladimir registered his first goal for the Blues against his former club, the Boston Bruins, beating Tuukka Rask after a turnover in the Bruins' zone. That season he went on to score 29 points in 65 games.
On June 15, 2011, Vladimir was re-signed to a three-year contract with the Blues. On March 9, 2013, he scored his first ever NHL hat trick against the San Jose Sharks.
